The massive use of new technologies not only influences our daily lives, but also the way the Administration of Justice works. The important changes the Administration of Justice is experiencing with the arrival of digitalization are being surpassed by the emergence of artificial intelligence and its influence on the activity of the different legal operators. Although there are many applications of artificial intelligence in the field of Justice, the possibility that it may assist the judge in decision-making —and even replace him or her— is one of the greatest concerns today. After some introductory considerations, these the use of artificial intelligence in the field of criminal precautionary measures is considered in these pages.
