Abstract

Labour Law has always been conditioned by the evolution of technology. At this moment, the technological context is characterized by both digitalization and the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI). These advances have impacted the field of work in general, not only salaried employment. The objective of this work is twofold: on the one hand, to analyze how AI systems affect labor relations and the labor market; on the other hand, to study and assess the response of the legal system to this phenomenon. Public authorities have reacted building a true «Algorithmic Law», which has a labor dimension, given that as workers are potentially affected by the widespread use generalization of AI systems in the organizations that employ them. This emerging branch of Law is nourished by components of different origin and nature and presents a high degree of complexity and technical sophistication.
