Abstract

This essay analyses the recurring errors which, in accordance to the author, have plagued employment law scholars’ work in the legal and political debate of the last decades. The first error would be a lack of acknowledgement of ongoing social and economic changes, an attitude a psychologist would call reality denial. In accordance to the author, this fact has minimised the role of scholars and their chances of being influential. The second error is the tendency of trivialization of scientific production aided by the way a career at university is designed and by what the publishing houses demand. The third error is the politization of the scientist who has entered the party game and his indulging in self-censorship.
